 Best baby blanket Apr 24, 2010
This is the best baby blanket ever. I swear it helps babies sleep longer and more calmly. Expensive but well worth the price. My three year old still sleeps with his.

It's a given: this excellent little blanket will probably fall apart somehow before your little one is ready to give it up. After all, this blanket is not "bullet-proof". So plan for the day when you have to tell your child that their beloved blanket is in tatters. Or, go buy second one, right? Wrong. The problem we are facing is that Little Giraffe may change the available colors before you need a backup -- that is the problem we are facing -- the darker blue color we have has been discontinued. Ugh! I would suggest buying two, but will that buy you enough time? It would be better if the company would just commit to their colors. These blankets are precious to a child -- a longer product life cycle might save a lot of broken hearts.

Several years ago I was a nanny for a family with two little girls. The baby had a Little Giraffe blanket and LOVED it. It became her "blanky" that had to go with her everywhere. It began to show wear and tear as the satin trim began to rip along the seam. I assumed this was to be expected with all the use it was getting. This blanky was so special to her that the day I found out I was pregnant with a boy I got online and ordered a blue Little Giraffe blanket for him. I am not surprised to say that it has become his favorite blanket! He sleeps with it every night. I have been so careful with washing it (delicate cycle, line dry) because I didn't want it to fall apart like the one belonging to the girl I took care of. I am sad to say it is not holding up well. The satin trim is ripping along the seams, just like the other blanky. I've had to sew 5 or 6 sections back on. For the amount of money it cost it should definitely be holding up better than it is.
The Favorite Blanket May 12, 2009
My son, almost two, loves loves LOVES his little giraffe blanket. It was a gift at his baby shower and was MY favorite before he was born! Blankie is slept with every nap and night, and is often dragged around the house all day. It has held up well after many washings. I had to re-stitch the satin binding a few months ago. He watched anxiously as I mended 'blankies owies' and it now looks almost new. I am here on Amazon looking to buy one for our upcoming baby. I can't imagine her without one!

I recieved this blanket as a gift for my newborn and it's the softest, coziest blanket, ever. It was immediately our favorite. Unfortunately, the satin edging separated from the blanket after a couple of months. I contacted Little Giraffe and they didn't hesitate to replace the blanket - despite not knowing where it was purchased or having any kind of receipt for the purchase. Their customer service was outstanding! This is my go-to gift for all friends that have a new baby because we love the blanket and we love Little Giraffe for standing by their product!
