Great shorts Jul 24, 2010 The first time I wore these to yoga my teacher came over and said "nice shorts" and he was wearing the same ones! He said (and I agree) that they are the perfect shorts for warm or hot yoga due to the inner liner. Also the fit is great, not too tight or loose. The length is good and the fabric has some friction to it so it will help hold your feet up when doing your "Tree".
Perfect short for yoga or similar excercises. May 15, 2010 I've tried regular workout shorts for Yoga but they can bind and the legs flop around or roll-up, especially during inverted poses. I have yoga pants, and while I like them, they are just too warm for yoga in the summer.
Even though they were kind of pricey, I decided to try a pair of these. They were shipped withing a day or two. They arrive stuffed in a USPS Priority Mail folder, the kind you put documents in.
I was very pleased with these shorts. They fit close enough that the legs stay where they are supposed to, yet they are very flexible. I have not had any issues will pulling or binding in any pose. Some synthetic fabrics tend to trap moisture in, but these are very "breathable." One complaint is that I wished they had a little pocket in them, but I can get along without it.
According to the label, they are made in California. It's hard to find US made clothes anymore. They can be machine washed and tumble dried, which is a plus. You need to use your gentle cycles.
Even though the price is on the high side, I may be buying another pair. Recommended.
YES! Apr 23, 2010 I have tried all kinds of shorts for yoga with little success, especially for Bikram. Cotton stays heavy and wet, polyester sport shorts are thick and loose, both have pockets so tend to bunch up. Pillar's are snug and thin (no pockets) enough to not bunch up, but loose and flexible enough for free movement. The liner is great so you do not have to wear another layer (underwear).

Best hot yoga shorts for Men Mar 17, 2010 These shorts are an excellent choice for hot yoga type classes. They wick moisture away from your body and are very comfortable even when soaking wet. I also appreciated that they aren't skin tight or "reveal" too much in certain poses. I practice daily and will need to order a couple more pairs right away.

Yoga shorts Dec 31, 2009 Good shorts but for anyone who needs to blow their nose occasionally, there are no pockets. My other yoga shorts all have pockets. I also teach yoiga and put my sheet sheet in my pocket...but these have none. Pockets also help when not doing yoga for my MP3 player.Other than no pockets, quality is good. CD
